David Corcoran is a qualified Fitness Instructor, Personal Trainer, Triathlon Coach, Craniosacral Therapist, Advanced Sports Massage Therapist and Neurolinguistic Programming Practitioner. He also has qualifications in Manipulative Therapy, Dry Needling and Orthopaedic Massage. David is one of the senior tutors with NSRT and together with Eddie Jackman teaches the Dry Needling Course.
David has always had a keen interest in sport. His first major achievement was obtaining his black belt in Karate. From there he went on to compete in triathlons and duathlons. David excelled in both disciplines and in1992 became National Triathlon & Duathlon Champion. He has been competing in Triathlons for the past 30 years now and been representing Ireland for many of those years, he still represents Ireland to date in his age category.
At age 30, David pursued his keen interest in sport by becoming a Fitness Instructor, Personal Trainer and Triathlon Coach. He went on to become a Sports Massage Therapist and is regarded as one of Ireland’s top Massage Therapists. His clients come from a variety of sporting backgrounds including Athletics, Football, GAA and Triathlons. He has looked after Catherina McKiernan, Derval O’Rourke, Joanne Cuddihy Gareth Turnbull and works with athletes from D.C.U. and U.C.D. He still has a keen interest in competition and can still be seen competing in the business houses cross country and road races and is currently training for the upcoming Triathlon season.
David has been teaching massage therapy for the past 20 years. Together with his wife Tina, he has been running the National School for Remedial Therapy since 2002.
